Overview of Proposed 2026-2027 VQB5 Guidelines – Webinar Recording and Feedback Opportunity

On March 23, VDOE hosted a webinar for early childhood stakeholders covering fall 2025 VQB5 successes, Quality Profile results, and proposed updates to rating levels to better reflect children’s experiences. The webinar also highlighted enhancements to VQB5 planned for next year, including improvements to VAConnects, more strategic use of VQB5 data, clarified participation requirements, and support for the curriculum change.

As VDOE works to strengthen and refine the Virginia Quality Birth to Five (VQB5) system for the upcoming 2026–2027 year, we welcome feedback from all ECCE stakeholders about the proposed updates to the VQB5 Guidelines. Your feedback is essential and will help inform our VQB5 efforts for the upcoming year and beyond. This feedback survey will remain open until April 15, 2026.
