This year's theme is Reflective Spaces: Practices, Communities, and Self. The content for each of the four days will address the following concepts:

  • Day 1: Reflective Spaces
  • Day 2: Reflective Communities
  • Day 3: Reflective Practices
  • Day 4: Self-Reflection

The focus of the Keynote presentations are:

  • Reflective Supervision and Consultation in the Infant and Early Childhood Field (RIOS) with Dr. Alyssa Meuwissen and Deborah Ottoman, faculty and instructors for the Center for Early Education and Development (CEED).
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) by Susan Turner, LCSW with over 20 years of experience working with children and families, especially those in the foster care system. She is also a certified ACEs trainer and facilitator. 
  • Reflective Parenting, with Dr. Anjali Ferguson, a culturally responsive clinical psychologist and global resource on treating racial trauma and its mental health effects on children and families.

Dr. Diana Bermudez will be presenting a breakout session on Cultivating Racial/Cultural Empathy in your Children. Amanda Lynch will discuss Self-Reflection as a Self-Care Practice; Charlie Slaughter will address Circle of Security and Reflective Parenting; and Dr. Corey Cassidy and Patty Eitemiller will hold a session on Practioner Wellness.

All sessions will be recorded for registrants to view at their convenience. All participants submitting an evaluation will receive a Certificate/CEUs for each session attended.

The registration fee is $25 ($10 discount to VAIMH Members)
