Strategies for Students with Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment
Description:
Diane Sheline will talk about identification of children with CVI, assessment tools to use (including The CVI Range), and simple techniques and strategies to use with children who have a diagnosis of CVI (or some other form of brain-damage related vision loss). Overall strategies will be discussed as well as how to adapt the environment and modify the presentation of materials, toys, and other learning items.
The registration fee is $60.00 and will include lunch and a copy of Diane Sheline's book "Strategy to See: Strategies for Students with Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment".
This is a one day training offered at two separate locations (March 23, 2017- Richmond, VA, March 24, 2017- Staunton, VA).
This training is offered through funding collaboration from Allied Instructional Services, Outreach Services VSDB, and Virginia Project for Children and Young Adults with Deaf-Blindness.
