Spring Webinar Series for School-Based Preschool Programs

The VDOE is hosting a three-part webinar series to prepare school divisions for the 2026-2027 school year. Administrators from all school-based preschool programs are encouraged to attend. Dates, topics, and registration links are included below.

 Webinar recordings and slides will be sent to everyone registered. We have changed our webinar platform this year, which means you must register for each session to receive the recording. Please register for every session you are interested in, even if you are unable to attend.  

 Spring Webinar Series:

• February 26, 1:30-2:30pm – Data Driven Program Planning - utilizing historical data and available resources to plan for an effective program.
• March 12, 1:30-2:30pm - Coordination of Resources – information on how to coordinate efficiently across preschool programs, including blending funding and sharing resources.
• March 26,1:30-2:30pm – Increasing Inclusion – discussion of best practices and resources for increasing inclusion of students with disabilities in preschool programs.

The Preschool Data and Dialogue series will also continue this spring, with regularly occurring meetings open to all school-based preschool programs. The purpose of this series is to share data and best practices across early childhood programs and encourage dialogue among peers. The 90-minute sessions include a VDOE introduction, in-depth presentation by a school division, and break-out rooms for guided discussion.

• February 18, 2:00-3:30pm - Using CLASS and VKRP Data to Plan Professional Development - Presented by Julie McClamrock, Augusta County Public Schools
• March 18, 2:00-3:30pm Choosing a Curriculum for your Program - Presented by Becca Carter, Virginia Beach Public Schools
