When families understand the process, better support can grow.

Our quarterly SPED Series is designed to help families understand special education processes, rights, and tools that help students in preparing them for further education, employment, and independent living. Join us as we dive into this quarter’s topics and build stronger partnerships for student success.

SESSIONS:
March 25 – From Referral to Eligibility
Understand how concerns turn into evaluations and eligibility decisions.
April 8 – Anatomy of an IEP
Break down each section of the IEP and what it actually means for your child.
April 22 – Measurable Goals
Learn what strong goals look like and how to tell if progress is real.
May 6 – Ins and Outs of IEP Meetings
Prepare for meetings, understand roles, and learn how to participate with confidence.
May 20 – Dispute Resolution
Explore your options when disagreements happen, including mediation, complaints, and due process.

Each workshop will start at 6:30 pm and will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

These sessions will be presented on Zoom. They will not be recorded.
